I have several of their artist song lessons and find them to be a great way to learn songs. They don’t normally include tab, but it was easier to just learn by following along since I didn’t have to figure out fingerings for chords or solos. And they break things up into easy to digest parts.

Sure, there are lots of videos on YouTube but not all are that accurate or well-taught. If you want to just learn a single song, then YouTube is probably a good bet if you can find a lesson. But for entire albums or an artist’s hits, I think LickLibrary is a good way to learn. Their teachers include people like Jamie Humphries, who you may know from UK based magazines Total Guitar and Guitar Techniques so you know the lessons are taught well. The course video trailer will usually give an idea of what player level you can expect the course to be at.

I will say to be careful to check if there is overlap between packages, e.g. there is “Jam with Leb Zeppelin” and “Learn to play Led Zeppelin“, so be sure to look into the differences before making your choice.

They also have courses from the likes of Tom Quayle, Andy James, Chris Buck, and Phil Short.

There is also the option to get a DVD or to download the course. I still like to by music on CD and have BluRay discs for movies and TV shows, but for LickLibrary I just go with download option since I can always just download it again if I accidentally delete it from my hard drive or have issues with my computer.
